Rules for Requesting Translations & Scripts:
one
e-mail Yamabuki at
doki2@usa.net
for all requests. Please make sure to state the
title, brief description (if new project), and your
FanSub group.
also note that Yamabuki would like more shoujo anime
to be widely known, so shoujo titles are much more
likely to be accepted. (plus it's easier to translate)
Yamabuki will work on mecha titles too, but don't
expect most of the technical terms to be translated.
in fact, technical terms will be left in romanized
japanese, and will be left for the editors to figure
it out.

if you're looking for completed scripts, please look
through the anime scripts
page. all titles that Yamabuki translated for Anime
West, Team Abcb, and Neko Creations will only be
released after the respective group finished timing
'em & released the title. of course, releasing the
text script will be discussed with the group first.
any completed scripts that are version 1.1 or higher
includes editing credits. please list the original
editors when timing it for your group.
two
for available scripts -- once Yamabuki accepts the
request, you can choose between two options
a) receive script (Word 6.0/95 format or text) via
e-mail;
b) have it ftp'd somewhere.
for new projects -- once Yamabuki accepts the
request, Yamabuki will let you know where to send a
raw VHS copy of the title. (If you can record the
audio onto a MD, it would save Yamabuki some time too)
three
Yamabuki's credits should be listed as
Yamabuki of DokiDoki Translations
for Anime West & Team Abcb scripts, credits to be listed
as "Yamabuki Shikibu of Anime West/Team Abcb"
four
Yamabuki accepts SVHS MASTER tapes in exchange for any
scripts. Yamabuki doesn't have any set scripts-to-tapes
ratio (haven't figured out what would be "fair"), so it'll
be hammered out between you & DokiDoki Translations via
e-mail.
Yamabuki prefers Fuji H471ST SVHS tapes for the masters.
Yamabuki will also work for manga. Yamabuki's
manga collection
here and list of
manga wanted there.
five
if any of the anime titles get picked up by domestic
companies, the scripts will no longer be available.
as fans of anime, please respect the ownership rights
of the companies and stop subtitling and distributing
as soon as any announcements are made.
