Shueisha). About a genius named Ten-chan
who has her friend lie so she can be a temporary
manager for the basketball team that Burai-kun is
on. Very heartwarming. First of a series of short
stories.

Suckers to "cool" (but really nice inside) guys.
Detective Conan

by AOYAMA Gosho (Shonen Sunday, Shogakkan).
About a high-schooler detective named Kudoh Shinichi
who was forced into swallowing a pill that shrank
his body to a size of a 6-year old. But still with
a mind of a detective, he continues to solve crimes
with the alias Edogawa Conan.
Recommended to:
People who like mystery stories. If you've seen and
liked the anime, you'll like the manga version.
Kaze Hikaru

by WATANABE Taeko (Flower Comics, Shogakkan).
About a girl who disguises herself as a young man
and enlists in a rounin samurai group, which
becomes the infamous Shinsengumi. Full of japanese
history, and the inevitable romance between the heroine
and Okita Souji.
Recommended to:
Fans of Rurouni Kenshin, who just need to know more
about Saitoh Hajime, Okita Soushi/Souji, and the rest
of the Shinsengumi.
